Darkwing Duck #3

Dynamite's 2023 run of Darkwing Duck hits issue #3, and the cover by Lesley "Leirix" Li sets a wonderfully theatrical mood — the Masked Mallard himself strikes a dramatic pose against a rich crimson backdrop, his purple cape sweeping wide as red roses and a gleaming golden hoop swirl around him in a kind of dark, magical flourish. There's a real sense of showmanship here, equal parts stage performance and superhero swagger, capturing exactly why this character has always had such effortless charm. With writing by Amanda Deibert and art by Carlo Lauro on the interior pages, this is a series that clearly knows how to celebrate its hero in style.
