Dark Minds Vol. 2 reaches its seventh chapter with "The Hunger," and the cover makes an immediate impression: a massive, heavily armored mech looms in the foreground, its single glowing red eye and clusters of mechanical appendages rendered in striking detail by penciler Sigmund Torre and inker Rob Armstrong. Ghosted within the mech's enormous hands are the faces of what appear to be human figures, lending an eerie, almost haunted quality to the machine's bulk. It's a beautifully composed piece of cyberpunk menace from Image's 2000 lineup that showcases just how much craft Torre and Armstrong were bringing to this series.
