Darkhold: Pages from the Book of Sins #10

Part three of the "Betrayal" arc lands with serious intensity — the cover by Rurik Tyler and Dave Simons puts a determined, gun-wielding man at center stage, straining against what appear to be grasping, fiery tendrils while a massive, looming demonic figure dominates the blood-red background behind him. The banner promises that Diabolique is finally revealed, and the cover's warning that you shouldn't turn the page "unless you want to see the Horrors of the Darkholders' Torture Chamber" sets a fittingly ominous tone for this 1993 Marvel horror series. If you've been following Darkhold: Pages from the Book of Sins, this issue looks like a satisfying escalation of the supernatural dread the series does so well.
