“Dreamkiller!”

A 64-page annual packed with four Darkhawk stories, this 1993 Marvel special promises plenty of action with the ominous declaration splashed right on the cover: "There can be no escape from Dreamkiller!" The cover, penciled by Aaron Lopresti and inked by Bob Wiacek, shows a massive green, reptilian villain in purple-and-yellow costume hoisting Darkhawk overhead with one powerful arm while swirling mist rises around them — a striking image that makes the armored hero look genuinely outmatched. With Danny Fingeroth writing and Aaron Lopresti on interior art, fans of the blue-armored hero have a lot to dig into here.
