Dark Web: X-Men #1

Spider-Man crouches at the center of this Phil Noto cover, surrounded by a striking assembly that includes Jean Grey, a fiery Human Torch, Iceman, Cyclops, and a regal, crown-wearing figure in the foreground — all loomed over by an enormous, glowing symbiote-like skull and a snarling creature lurking at the edge. The mashup of Marvel's mutants and web-slinging world promises something genuinely strange and ambitious from writer Gerry Duggan and artist Rod Reis. If the "Dark Web" banner and that ominous skull are any indication, this 2023 opener has a lot of unsettling fun in store.
