Dark Spaces: Good Deeds #2

Part of Scott Snyder's Dark Spaces imprint at IDW, this second issue delivers a cover by Kelsey Ramsay that immediately signals something deeply unsettling — a young woman, arms bound, stands knee-deep in water surrounded by strange, lurking creatures, while an enormous shadowy skull looms over a lush, nightmarish tropical landscape behind her. The moody purple and pink palette gives the whole scene a dreamlike dread that pulls you in even as it warns you away. Che Grayson's story, paired with Ramsay's atmospheric linework and colors, makes Good Deeds one of 2023's more intriguing horror offerings.
