Dark Horse Presents #113 spotlights .Trypto. the Acid Dog, with a cover by Steve Leialoha that sets an immediately striking tone — a small, luminous white bull terrier stands alone at the center of a bright blue beam of light, completely surrounded by a snarling, chaotic mass of much larger dogs looming out of the purple darkness. The contrast between that tiny, calm figure and the overwhelming tide of menace around it makes for a genuinely compelling image. Rounding out the issue are bonus stories including "My Vagabond Days" and Ed Brubaker's "Lowlife," making this a generously packed anthology package from 1996.
