Daredevil: Reborn #4

The finale of this four-part 2011 Marvel miniseries arrives with a striking Jock cover that pulls the eye in two directions at once — a looming shadowed figure dominates the upper left against a glass skyscraper, while a red-suited Daredevil swings freely on his billy-club cable far below, small against the city's geometry. The tension between those two figures, one massive and still, the other in fluid motion, sets a mood that feels like a reckoning. Andy Diggle and Davide Gianfelice close out their story with Matt Hollingsworth's muted palette giving everything a cool, noir-edged weight.
