# Daredevil Comics #57 This anthology issue contains two stories featuring the Wise Guys. In "The Mystery of the Practical Joker," the Wise Guys encounter a harmless old man whose motto is "Anything for a Gag" and who involves them in a scheme to hide fake jewels in a statue, only to have their plan backfire when gypsies steal the statue and the jewels go missing. In "The Truth Serum and Its Missing Formula," the Wise Guys become entangled with criminals seeking a secret truth serum formula that Professor Healey is developing; after a series of complications involving scarecrows, a stolen formula, and attempts to recover the hidden compound, the Wise Guys manage to outwit the thieves and secure the formula's safety.
