Danger Street #6

This DC Black Label series takes a wonderfully subversive turn with its sixth chapter, "The Dingbats of Danger Street," announced right on the cover in bold starburst lettering. Jorge Fornés delivers a cover that's equal parts unsettling and playful — a grinning, red-eyed metallic figure in a blue suit cheerfully digs into a spilling bowl of colorful fruit-ring cereal, the whole thing dressed up as a vintage breakfast cereal box complete with nutrition facts, "Omega 3" claims, and the gleeful sound effect "Crunch! Crunch!" The result is a darkly comic piece of design that perfectly captures the off-kilter energy Tom King brings to this ensemble series.
