Tied into DC's 1995 crossover event Underworld Unleashed, this issue of Damage puts its young hero front and center in a genuinely unsettling way — wide-eyed, mouth open in alarm, he's caught in a storm of shattered debris and twisted metal hurtling toward the viewer from every direction. The cover by Bill Marimon and Don Hillsman captures that sick-stomach feeling of a situation spiraling completely out of control, with kinetic energy radiating outward in all directions around the blue-and-yellow-costumed Damage. Writer Tom Joyner's chapter, titled "Going Down," promises exactly the kind of desperate, high-stakes moment the cover so vividly sells.
