“Madhouse”

In "Madhouse," the escalating conflict at the Clinic reaches a breaking point as Freefall and Tangler strike back against the Black Powers, leaving Chill dead and Squirm near death. New director Tanis Newhouse calls a general assembly to restore order, but the Black Powers spark a riot to eliminate Freefall and Tangler—only for Lenore to intervene, using her abilities to knock everyone out cold. Written by Mark Gruenwald and illustrated by Paul Ryan, with inks by Danny Bulanadi, colors by Paul Becton, and letters by Janice Chiang, this 1988 issue features a cover by Paul Ryan.

Freefall and Tangler take their revenge on the Black Powers by killing Chill and nearly killing Squirm. New director, Tanis Newhouse, calls a general assembly to deal with the escalating violence at the Clinic. During the assembly, the Black Powers start a riot in order to kill Freefall and Tangler. All are incapacitated by Lenore, who uses her power to knock everyone out.
