In D.P.7 #16, a 1990 Play Press release, Scuzz gathers a group of fellow teens at the Clinic into the DDTeens, setting off a clash with the Black Powers after Indigo humiliates him. When Charly intervenes to stop the resulting fight, her actions provoke Indigo’s wrath and lead to her expulsion from the Black Powers. Written by Mark Gruenwald and illustrated by Paul Ryan, with inks by Danny Bulanadi and colors by Paul Becton, the issue’s cover by Paul Ryan captures the tension of this pivotal moment.
