D.P. 7 #10
In "Orphan," the D.P. 7 team faces a haunting new threat as the Clinic’s dream-based experiments push their captured paranormals to breaking point. When Randy’s antibody takes refuge in Evan Huebner, an orphan with a hidden past, the connection between them becomes a fragile lifeline—until the antibody’s final journey back to the Clinic ends in mystery. Meanwhile, Dave, wounded and alone in the Wisconsin woods, is rescued by a reclusive figure known only as the Woodsman, setting the stage for a quiet but tense recovery. Written by Mark Gruenwald and illustrated by Paul Ryan—with inks by Danny Bulanadi, colors by Paul Becton, and letters by Phil Felix—this 1987 issue delivers a haunting blend of psychological tension and unexpected human connection, all wrapped in a cover by Paul Ryan.

The Clinic continues its effort to brainwash the six captured paranormals through their dreams. Randy's antibody meets Evan Huebner, an orphan, and takes up residence in his body. The antibody is "dying" and has Huebner return it to Randy at the Clinic, but when they get there the antibody disintegrates as soon as it emerges from Huebner. Dave, hunted by the agents, collapses in the woods of Wisconsin after being hit by numerous tranquilizer darts. He is found by "the Woodsman" and recovers after being brought to the hunter's cabin.
