Cyberpunk 2077: XOXO #1

The opening chapter of Cyberpunk 2077: XOXO arrives from Dark Horse with a cover that's immediately unlike anything else on the shelf — a masked, goggle-eyed figure in a spiked jacket stands at the center, surrounded by a wild menagerie of colorful cartoon-like creatures: a cat, a bird, a monkey, an elephant with a keyboard, and a small fox, all bursting with chaotic energy against a bold yellow and blue backdrop. It's a striking contrast between the grim cyberpunk aesthetic and something almost playfully surreal, and that tension feels very intentional. Writer Bartosz Sztybor and artist Jakub Rebelka — who also handles the cover — bring the world of CD Projekt Red to comics in what looks like a genuinely distinctive take on Night City.
