The third issue of Image's sharp near-future series delivers a cover that pulls you right into the chaos — a close-up of a woman with green-tinted shades whose lenses reflect a frantic car chase, complete with a panicked passenger, an armed driver, and motorcycle pursuers bearing down on them. Ro Stein's cover work is precise and inventive, using the mirrored sunglasses as a storytelling device that layers the danger literally in front of our eyes. Christopher Sebela, Ro Stein, Ted Brandt, Triona Farrell, and Cardinal Rae are bringing a genuinely fresh energy to 2018 comics with this series.
