Critter Volume 4: High Tide finds our pink-haired heroine in serious trouble — the cover, rendered by Fico Ossio, plunges her into a churning ocean surge where a massive, armored crustacean creature with a glowing purple core looms over her with claws outstretched. Tom Hutchison's story, collected across issues 11–15, pits Critter against the oceanic threat of Tidepool as coastal cities flood and even sea animals turn against the heroes. It's a genuinely compelling setup from Big Dog Ink's self-proclaimed "second best superhero comic book in the universe," and Ossio's dynamic linework makes every crashing wave feel like it's about to spill off the page.
