This anthology features two crime stories. The first story follows a woman named Margot Haffner who steals a spy ring and atomic material hidden in dolls with the help of confidence men, but is ultimately caught when law enforcement tracks her down and recovers the contraband. The second story centers on Mable Reine, a criminal woman known as "the Queen," who organizes an underworld gang to rob stores and banks across a small Minnesota town, but the scheme ends in failure when she and her associates are caught by authorities during their crime spree.
