Crime Files #6 is an anthology containing multiple crime stories. "X Marks the Spot" recounts the fates of notorious gangsters including Al Capone, who was ultimately convicted on income tax evasion; Eddie Tancl, who became a killer for Capone and ended on a morgue slab; Hymie Weiss, a gun-crazy Capone henchman killed in 1926; and Bugs Moran, who attempted to take over Capone's rackets on St. Valentine's Day 1929 and was slaughtered in a Chicago garage. "The Homicidal Hitchhikers" depicts Johnny Rego, a wealthy young man who turns to crime seeking thrills and excitement, who fatally strikes his father during a violent argument and then plots with an accomplice named Joe to stage an accident by pushing Joe down a cellar stairway, but Joe ultimately escapes this trap.
