Crime Detective Comics v2 #9

This anthology issue contains at least two crime stories. The first involves police officers investigating a disturbance around a telephone booth where a gun is found on the ground and someone named "Lefty" is being contacted about unexplained noise. The second story, titled "The Ship with Two Faces," depicts Floyd Moore, a young Australian policeman with expertise in ships, being transferred to the waterfront beat, where he encounters criminal activity involving smuggling operations and corrupt officials planning a heist with an underling named Homer and associates who discuss stealing jade animals and conducting illegal security transactions.
