Crime Detective Comics #9

Crime Detective Comics #9 is an anthology featuring multiple crime stories. One story involves Agent Travers uncovering hidden notes during an investigation at what appears to be a government or military facility, where a man becomes violent when the notes are discovered and must be subdued with treatment in a whirlpool bath. Another story follows a Deacon character taking orphans on what he claims is a charitable outing to a race track, which turns into a motor race event. A third story, "Corkscrew Alley," depicts the gritty life of a poor man in New York struggling to survive, complaining about his difficult circumstances and his mother's harsh treatment of him.
