In a remote part of northern England, aging and infirm scientist, Dr. Sebastian, convinces his once pupil, the surgeon Dr. King, to transplant his brain into an unliving body he created from two corpses. The transplant is successful but King is horrified to see that his mentor has turned into a power-crazed monster. On a rampage, Sebastian storms past outraged villagers and is struck down by lightning attracted to the metal electrodes in his neck. The only thing left of the scientist is a pile of ashes.
