Frank Frazetta's cover for this Delirium collection sets the mood perfectly: a massive, snarling gorilla rears up against a lurid crimson sun while a fleeing blonde woman scrambles to escape its reach, the whole scene awash in the deep purples and magentas that made Frazetta's work so unforgettable. Creepy Volume 2 from Delirium brings together more of the horror anthology material that made this magazine a staple of the genre, and with a cover this visceral, it's hard not to be drawn straight in. A fine addition to any shelf that appreciates where horror comics art was taken in its prime.
