Maria Llovet's Crave arrives from Image Comics with a tantalizing opening issue wrapped in the series' seductive tagline: "Tell us what you Crave — We'll make it happen." The cover, drawn and inked by Llovet herself, pulls three figures into a tangle of creeping ivy — a confident young woman in a red harness and choker gazes outward while two others lean into her, rendered in cool blue and purple tones that give the composition an almost dreamlike unease. It's a striking visual introduction to what promises to be a dark, intimate series from a creator handling every aspect of the book solo.
