This anthology issue contains three Western stories: "Denver Mudd and Bushey Barns," a humorous tale about a character seeking help from Kid Cupid to attract eligible bachelors; "Daniel Boone—Adventurer," a historical account of Daniel Boone's early life in Pennsylvania, his family's move to North Carolina, and his involvement in conflicts with Native Americans and British forces, including an incident where his son James was killed by Shawnees; and a third story about Paul Bunyan, the legendary lumberjack, who fells giant California redwoods, builds an enormous ox cart, and sets out traveling with his ox Babe.
