Ben Riley tänker stjäla en boskapshjord, men Joe Cullen säger ifrån. Ben skjuter Joe i axeln, men Joe lyckas fly upp bland några klippor. Kansas Kid kommer precis förbi och hjälper Joe att jag bort Rileys gäng. Boskapsfösarna som har hand om kreaturshjorden anländer och ber Kansas att stanna i deras läger över natten, medan Joe flyr från platsen för skottväxlingen.
