Countdown Presents: Lord Havok & the Extremists #2

Part two of this eight-issue 2008 DC miniseries finds the Extremists in suitably dire straits — Liam Sharp's cover depicts a group of figures, including a Green Lantern and a dark-caped warrior, pressed together inside what appears to be the grotesque maw of a massive creature, with the menacing Lord Havok looming above them all. The cover also teases a guest appearance by the Challengers from Beyond, adding another layer of intrigue to the proceedings. Sharp's detailed, visceral linework gives the whole image a tense, almost claustrophobic energy that makes "The Last Days of the Extremists" feel like a genuinely urgent read.
