Cosmic Ghost Rider #4

The cover of this 2018 Marvel series tells a haunting, tender story all on its own: the Cosmic Ghost Rider's massive, spike-studded gauntlet cradles a sleeping infant against his glowing skull-face, a field of bones and a burning ruined cityscape stretching out behind them. It's a striking image that balances the character's otherworldly menace with something unexpectedly gentle, rendered beautifully by cover artist Geoff Shaw with vivid colors from Antonio Fabela. Donny Cates and Dylan Burnett's series continues to find fascinating emotional territory in one of Marvel's most wildly over-the-top characters.
