Bob De Moor's Cori de scheepsjongen returns with "De Gedoemde Reis" — "The Doomed Voyage" — and the cover sets an immediately gripping scene: a group of desperate figures scrambling through a frozen, ice-locked landscape, a tall ship trapped and listing among the glacial formations behind them. Cori himself strides boldly in the foreground, red headscarf and green coat standing out against the harsh white surroundings, while his companions gesture urgently into the cold. This 2013 BD Must edition is a handsome showcase for De Moor's expressive linework and his knack for maritime adventure with real peril at its heart.
