Corail #60
In "Tout pour être heureuse," Lise—beautiful, privileged, and effortlessly surrounded by friends—finds herself adrift despite having everything. When her father arranges a modeling session to spark some purpose, her casual attitude clashes with the professionalism of the shoot, only to be humbled when she learns her maid has quietly pursued the same dream. With a new sense of focus, Lise begins to take modeling seriously, guided by the quiet determination of someone who’s finally seen what it means to truly want something. The story, illustrated with quiet precision by Angeles Felices, explores the shift from privilege to purpose, all within a single, unassuming issue from 1977.

Lise has it all: beauty, riches, no need to work for a living, and a crowd of friends like herself. But she is bored so her wealthy father uses his influence to get her a modeling job. She is excited, but doesn't take the job seriously. She shows up late for her session with a band of friends and the professional photographer chastises her for her behavior. When she gets home, she discovers her maid has taken night classes to be a model, but never had the opportunity she just squandered. Lise helps her maid get into modeling and becomes more serious about becoming a model herself.
