Cookie attempts to help a woman who calls the police, claiming she has witnessed a murder at a nearby house. When Cookie and a police officer investigate, they discover the supposed victim is alive and well, and the woman had merely been reading a fairy tale to a child. Later, Cookie attends a model airplane race at Jones Park, where he tries to register for the competition but is mistaken for a contestant; his confusion leads to humorous chaos when a boy riding a toy rug is inadvertently entered in the race and wins, causing bewildered onlookers to wonder if fairy tales have come to life.

Jitterbuck

Jitterbuck lands a coveted reporting job at the Daily Skookum after winning a literary award, but his early assignments go hilariously sideways—he botches his first boxing match story and accidentally writes up his editor's own mansion as a housing shortage example. When the editor discovers whose house it was, he decides to give Jitterbuck a new position that's a far cry from the glamorous journalism career the young reporter imagined.
