Convergence Batgirl #1

Part of DC's 2015 Convergence event, this first issue of a two-part miniseries brings together a trio of Gotham's finest — Batgirl, Batman, and a red-and-black-costumed Nightwing — standing resolute beneath a domed cityscape while a snarling, monstrous creature looms over them from above. The cover by Rick Leonardi (inked by Dan Green) does a wonderful job of balancing the determined calm of the heroes against the raw menace threatening from beyond the dome. Writer Alisa Kwitney and artist Rick Leonardi make for a compelling creative team to guide "The Love Song of Stephanie Brown" through the challenges of Convergence.
