Contest of Champions #8

Captain Marvel charges fist-first into a swarm of grotesque, neon-green-outlined creatures while Black Panther stands fierce at her side and a third hero struggles in the grip of those same shadowy, grinning foes — it's a cover that wastes absolutely no space. Al Ewing's "Ultimate Fighting Part Two" looks every bit as relentless as that Comics Alliance pull quote promises, with Paco Medina's linework packing the image with threat and momentum in equal measure. If you've been following this series, issue #8 makes a strong visual case that the stakes are only getting higher.
