John Constantine looks absolutely cornered on this October 2013 cover, his battered trench coat and wide, desperate eyes telling the whole story as a writhing mass of ghoulish, undead figures — everyone he's ever sacrificed — closes in around him in an eerie green haze. The tagline "Finally Gets Their Revenge!" makes the stakes unmistakably personal, and the cover art by Eddy Barrows and Eber Ferreira delivers a genuinely unsettling portrait of a man whose long trail of hard choices has finally caught up with him. Writer Ray Fawkes and artist Renato Guedes continue their New 52 run with "Metamorphosis In Extremis," and if this cover is any indication, Constantine's debt ledger is well past due.
