Constantine #21
John Constantine stands wide-legged in his rumpled trenchcoat, hands crackling with conjured energy as he squares off against a towering, star-cloaked figure whose masked face and ornate armor radiate menace — while a cluster of snarling, monstrous creatures gnash at the edges of the composition. The cover by Juan Ferreyra bristles with arcing lightning and vivid contrast, capturing the street-level sorcerer caught between supernatural forces far larger than himself. Ray Fawkes and Jeremy Haun's "Burn the Stage" looks like exactly the kind of high-stakes occult showdown that makes this New 52 series such a compelling read in 2015.
