The second chapter of Conquests arrives with a cover that makes a strong first impression: a broad-shouldered, long-haired warrior stands on a platform gripping a heavy sci-fi rifle, while behind him a multi-legged combat mech looms and a fleet of diverse spacecraft fills a sky dominated by a massive planetary body. Bertrand Benoît's linework gives the scene a satisfying mix of rugged grit and wide-open space-opera scale, and colorist Olivier Héban bathes it all in cool blues and silver light that feels genuinely atmospheric. If "Deluvenn" picks up where the series began, this 2019 entry from Silvester looks like a confident, visually rich addition to Nicolas Jarry's science-fiction saga.
