Oscar wants to marry Alicia, but although she loves him she cannot bear the loneliness of being a sailor's wife. She takes a job as a secretary and soon the son of the owner starts taking an interest in her. She is offered the chance to accompany him as he visits various ports on business and she looks forward to the adventure. However, Juan wants more from her than just being a secretary and eventually she is forced to work at a shady club to earn enough money to return home.
