If Gaye couldn't make it as a star, the next best thing was to marry someone with a healthy bank account. Although she doesn't have a license, she asks to drive the sports car belonging to a wealthy boyfriend one evening. Ignoring his warnings to slow down, she hits a man. Panicking because this could ends her career hopes, she convinces the boyfriend to claim he was alone in the car. The next day she accepts a job offer to work in Spain as she is only too happy to leave the country after the accident. But when the boyfriend is charged with manslaughter, his brother follows her to Spain.
