In "La main d'Erlik," Conan encounters Vonndhar, a mortal warrior granted eternal life by the dark god Erlik, who has come to decide the fate of a woman named Jenna. As Vonndhar faces a grim trial of loyalty and sacrifice, his final act leaves Conan disillusioned by Jenna’s cold response.
