Barry thinks casino worker Cheta cajoled his friend Loren into losing money at her uncle Mort’s Nevada casino. She quits and moves to San Francisco, where Barry also lives. Mort and Loren show up and try to blackmail Cheta, now working as a clerk, into returning; Mort is killed in a car accident and Loren confesses the truth to Barry.
