Commanders in Crisis #12

The final issue of Steve Orlando and Davide Tinto's dimension-hopping superhero saga closes out with a cover that says everything about the stakes: six diverse heroes stand united in a tight formation, braced and ready, while an enormous green eye looms over them from above — watchful, ominous, and inescapable. From the armored, sword-bearing woman at the apex to the star-emblazoned powerhouse at the center and their flanking teammates, the team feels both embattled and defiant. It's a strong send-off image for one of Image Comics' more thoughtfully ambitious 2021 superhero runs.
