Comics Revue Presents Modesty Blaise #19
In "Dossier on Pluto," Modesty Blaise finds herself drawn into a high-stakes game of espionage when she spends time with ex-CIA agent Steve Taylor, whose secret work on dolphins has caught the attention of the KGB. With Neville Colvin handling art, inks, and letters, the story unfolds with quiet tension as Modesty outsmarts mobsters sent to steal the research—swapping the real documents for decoys, knowing help is already on the way. A sharp, suspenseful chapter in the long-running series, written by Peter O'Donnell and illustrated with precision by Colvin, this 1998 issue stands as a standout in the Modesty Blaise saga.

Modesty spends a few weeks with ex-CIA agent Steve Taylor, who is doing classified research on dolphins. While Modesty is picking up some fish to feed the dolphins, mobsters hired by the KGB force Steve to hand over his research. Modesty returns just in time to prevent Steve from being killed. The mobsters escape, but Modesty has switched out the actual research papers with worthless real estate papers. The mobsters will have to return to get the real papers, but by then Willie and Sir Gerald have answered Modesty's call for help.
