This anthology issue contains three stories: "Abbie an' Slats" by Raeburn Van Buren follows a domestic mishap when Miss Abigail cannot take charge of a boy, leading to a fire in the curtains and plans derailed by a coin flip to attend the movies; "Ella Cinders" by Bill Conselman and Charlie Plumb features Ella meeting the mysterious "Mr. A" at Belding's command, leading to a romantic encounter involving memories of New York and plans for Havana; and "Grin and Bear It" by Lichty presents humorous vignettes including office mishaps, Sunday fliers disrupting picnics, and police chases, with a military campaign cliffhanger teased for the next issue. The issue also previews a new feature called "Strange As It Seems" by John Hix for upcoming Tip Top Comics editions.
