"Sam the Sheriff" follows a sheriff pursuing the criminal Snake-Eyed Pete to a cave, where a series of comedic mishaps ensue involving the sheriff's incompetence and his interaction with Pete's escape attempts. "Jetsam Joe" depicts a captain and sailor who retrieve a mysterious box at sea, which turns out to be an empty decoy meant to mislead crooks, leading to slapstick comedy involving the captain kicking his officer. The issue also includes a golf-themed story in which Mr. Bigwig attempts to play a round with his caddy Wicky and his dog O'Shawnessy, resulting in the dog repeatedly interfering with the game in comedic fashion.
