In "Two Characters in Search of a Brain!" from Comic Cavalcade #11 (1945), a bank heist gone sideways sends the Sure Shot Mob scrambling to hide their stolen loot—leading them to hijack Doiby's cab and concoct a wild lie about Green Lantern killing their mysterious "Brain." With a wooden dummy and a desperate cover-up, two mob members race to maintain the illusion, but the truth is harder to fake than a fake head.
In "The Lucky Rings," Hop and Tink fly a damaged plane to a Japanese-held island, tasked with delivering sacred stones—valued as currency by the locals—to rally support against the occupation. With the stakes high and their aircraft failing, Hop makes a daring decision to use the stones not as tribute, but as a weapon, dropping them on an enemy installation in a bold move that could shift the tide of war.
In "Shenanigans in Sherwood Forest," the Flash’s attempt to escape the pressures of crime-fighting by jumping into the past backfires when he lands in the time of Robin Hood—only to be mistaken for one of the outlaw’s merry men. With his speed and modern ways out of place in medieval Sherwood, he’s quickly caught up in a whirlwind of mistaken identity and forest antics.
