This anthology issue features "Shorty the Deputy Sheriff," a humorous comic strip in which the eponymous character attempts to help at a nursery but accidentally allows children to paint the nursery's charges with bright paint, resulting in colorful chaos and a scrubbing cleanup. Also included is "Mick the Moon Boy," in which Mick arrives at Indian Bend in his flying saucer and becomes involved with suspicious strangers plotting a jail break, leading to an action sequence where he uses his invisible powers to help prevent an escape. The issue opens with a dramatic historical adventure story depicting a battle between frontiersman Quincy Wyatt and Seminole Indians, featuring hand-to-hand combat and river action as Quincy searches for his kidnapped son in the Florida wilderness.
