From November 1943 comes this wartime installment of Comedy Comics, where Super Rabbit somersaults through the air completely unfazed after being blasted from a swastika-emblazoned cannon manned by villainous enemy soldiers in red uniforms — one of whom has lost his hat in the chaos. Two wide-eyed pig characters look on from the sidelines as the caped bunny hero makes his acrobatic exit. It's a playful piece of 1943 home-front humor, wrapping wartime anxieties in the lighthearted antics of funny-animal comics at their most spirited.
