Comedy Comics #17 (July 1943) delivers a burst of wartime fun with Super Rabbit front and center, having just kicked a hole clean through the brick wall of Public School No. 49½ — much to the delight of a crowd of cheerful cartoon animal kids pouring out behind him. A defeated villain in a yellow suit sprawls on the ground to the left, while the grateful students chime in with "Gee Thanks, Super Rabbit!" It's a lively, colorful ten-cent treat that captures the lighthearted charm of early 1940s Timely funny-animal comics at their most exuberant.
