“Red Dust”
About this Collection

This first volume of the German Comanche series collects the opening story arc 'Red Dust' by writer Greg. Set in the American Old West, it follows the adventures of the titular Native American character as he navigates conflicts and alliances in a harsh frontier landscape. The Carlsen Comics edition presents the classic European western comic in a collected format for German readers.

In "Red Dust," Comanche finds himself caught in a deadly confrontation with Wally Hondo, forced into killing in self-defense. When he arrives in Greenstone Falls, the townspeople wrongly assume he’s the professional killer they’ve been hunting. Written by Antoinette Gittinger and Greg, with art and inks by Hermann and lettering by Max Ulrich, this 1991 issue from Carlsen Comics features a cover by Hermann.
