A secondary story recounts the discovery of a large silver ore deposit worth twenty thousand dollars, which prompts a prospector named Ed Mifflin to search for more riches in the desert, leading to the establishment of stamp mills that process ore worth thirty million dollars and eventually transform the region into a thriving mining metropolis.
